Application – Oil Refinery

There are various process involved in Oil Refinery for processing crude oil. Separation, Conversion & Treating.

In separation process, crude oil is heated in a furnace until most of it vaporizes into a gas. The liquids and vapours then enter an atmospheric distillation tower, which separates the liquids and vapours into different streams, or fractions, based on differences in boiling points.

Boilers are used to generate steam required at difference stages of distillation process & Furnaces to heat the crude oil. Liquid fuel or gas is used as a fuel. SOx, NOx, CO gases & Particulate are emitted from Boiler & Furnaces.
