Application – Iron and Steel Industry

Blast furnace & Basic Oxygen Furnace are major process in Iron & Steel production industry. In blast furnace iron ore, limestone & coke is heated at high temperature by passing hot air to obtain molten iron. This molten iron contain some amount of carbon monoxide which is further removed in Basic Oxygen furnace where oxygen is passed into the furnce & carbon monoxide reacts with oxygen and form Carbon Dioxide.
